The Kingdom of God - The True Gospel

Greetings, Wayne, a servant of God, by the grace of God, teaching truth under the authority of Jesus Christ to any who are willing to receive it, or as Jesus put it, to any who have ears to hear (Mat 13:43).

The bible, the word of God, interprets the bible; therefore, God teaches and gives understanding, wisdom, and knowledge to all who pray and seek Him with all the heart (Jer 29:12,13).

I will be the words in green. Purple Highlights will be key words or phrases of truth.

Pro 16:3 Commit your works unto the LORD, and your thoughts shall be established.

Everything I have placed on this website has come about because of committing my works, with prayer and study of the scriptures, unto God the Father through Jesus Christ, my mentor and saviour.

In the process, I have been a witness to God's name being used in vain and many stumbling over His word as a result, because they just could not seem to grasp one all important scripture:

Psa 118:8 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.

My walk with God has by no means been perfect. It has been a roller coaster of ups and downs for over eleven years now (2014 - 2025). But those years have been filled with the faith and hope of the soon coming Kingdom of God.

More now than ever in these increasingly troubled times, I see the Kingdom of God as mankind's only hope to shine as the stars for ever and ever (Dan 12:3). Only God's light can lead us into the way of peace:

Luk 1:79 To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

Psa 18:28 For you will light my candle [Pro 20:27; Mat 5:15,16]: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness.

Act 26:18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

Joh 3:21 But he that does truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

2Co 4:6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, has shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

1Jn 1:5 This then is the message which we have heard of Him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all.

The Kingdom of God will bring with it the light of God:

Isa 60:19 The sun shall be no more your light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto you: but the LORD shall be unto you an everlasting light, and your God your glory.

Rev 21:10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,

Rev 21:11 Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;

Rev 21:23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

The Kingdom of God is not "in our hearts". It is a literal Kingdom that will descend from heaven and replace all the kingdoms of the earth:

Mat 6:10 Your Kingdom come. Your will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

It is only through God's will being done on earth that mankind will be able to recover from the coming great tribulation we see beginning before our eyes:

Mat 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

Mat 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

Whether you will or will not receive it, here is the true gospel, the gospel of the soon coming Kingdom of God, from heaven, to earth:

Mar 1:14 Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,

Mar 1:15 And saying, The time is fulfilled [Dan 7: 14, 18, 22, 27; 12:4], and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent you, and believe the gospel.

Mat 4:23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

Was there a particular day of the week on which Jesus taught the holy things of God in the synagogues?

Luk 4:14 And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of Him through all the region round about.

Luk 4:15 And He taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all.

Luk 4:16 And He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up: and, as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up for to read.

Mar 2:28 Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the Sabbath.

Exo 20:8 Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.

Exo 20:11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day [Saturday]: wherefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Here is a prophecy from the Lord Jesus Christ being fulfilled in our time:

Mat 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Mar 13:10 And the gospel must first be published among all nations.

Why is the true gospel not being widely received? Two main reasons:

1. Rev 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceives the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

2. Mat 13:10 And the disciples came, and said unto Him, Why speak you unto them in parables?

Mat 13:11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

How do servants of God receive the wisdom and understanding that are given to them in order to understand the mysteries of the Kingdom of God?

Psa 111:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do His commandments: his praise endures for ever.

Jer 29:13 And you shall seek me, and find me, when you shall search for me with all your heart.

The following verses contain a testament of Jesus' anointing for burial, a prophecy of the perpetual poor who have remained with us just as Jesus foretold, and a memorial of the woman who anointed Jesus during His teaching of the gospel of the Kingdom of God:

Mat 26:6 Now when Jesus was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper,

Mat 26:7 There came unto Him a woman having an alabaster box of very precious ointment, and poured it on His head, as He sat at meat.

Mat 26:8 But when His disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, To what purpose is this waste?

Mat 26:9 For this ointment might have been sold for much, and given to the poor.

Mat 26:10 When Jesus understood it, He said unto them, Why trouble you the woman? for she has wrought a good work upon me.

Mat 26:11 For you have the poor always with you; but me you have not always.

Mat 26:12 For in that she has poured this ointment on my body, she did it for my burial.

Mat 26:13 Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman has done, be told for a memorial of her.

The following verses set forth an example of rejection of a servant of truth, an example of how Satan will use even the elect to thwart the true gospel, an example of what is expected from a teacher of the true gospel, and an example of what awaits them who water down the true gospel that they may please men rather than God, all while enjoying the comforts of this present evil world (Galatians 1:4):

Mar 8:31 And He began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders, and of the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.

Mar 8:32 And He spoke that saying openly. And Peter took Him, and began to rebuke Him.

Mar 8:33 But when He had turned about and looked on His disciples, He rebuked Peter, saying, Get you behind me, Satan: for you savour not the things that be of God, but the things that be of men.

Mar 8:34 And when He had called the people unto him with his disciples also, He said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

Mar 8:35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.

Mar 8:36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

Mar 8:37 Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

Mar 8:38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

Did the apostles leave all for the sake of the gospel?

Mar 10:28 Then Peter began to say unto Him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed you.

Mar 10:29 And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that has left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's,

Mar 10:30 But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.

Read the book of Acts to see how the church or called out ones grew daily and had all things common or shared in the unity of the body of Christ, including the apostles, howbeit, with persecutions (Act 22:4; 26:11; 1Co 15:9; 2Co 4:9; 12:10; Gal 1:13; 1Th 2:15; 2Th 1:4; 2Ti 3:11; Rev 12:13).

Mat 5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Do I preach the true gospel to the poor while living in a house they could never afford? Do I teach the mercy and forgiveness of God while lording over and judging others?

Mat 8:19 And a certain scribe came, and said unto Him, Master, I will follow you wherever you go.

Mat 8:20 And Jesus said unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man has not where to lay His head.

Luk 14:33 So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsakes not all that he has, he cannot be my disciple.

Luk 22:25 And He said unto them, The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and they that exercise authority upon them are called benefactors.

Luk 22:26 But you shall not be so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that does serve.

Mat 5:7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

Luk 6:37 Judge not, and you shall not be judged: condemn not, and you shall not be condemned: forgive, and you shall be forgiven:

The Spirit of the Lord will always be upon them that preach the true gospel. You will know them by their fruits as they will always teach the truth of God, asking nothing in return:

Luk 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

Did Jesus teach that all paths lead to the kingdom of God?

Mat 7:13 Enter you in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leads to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

Mat 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leads unto life, and few there be that find it.

There is only one path and one name by which we must be saved (Act 4:12).

Mat 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Mat 7:16 You shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of [among] thorns, or figs of [among] thistles?

Mat 7:17 Even so every good tree brings forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree brings forth evil fruit.

Mat 10:8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely you have received, freely give.

These have been some of the many teachings that Jesus shed forth from the true gospel of the Kingdom of God. Read the books of Mathew, Mark, Luke, and John for the truth of God the Father through Jesus, His Christ.

Let us now go on to see that the apostles carried the torch of those gospel teachings to all who would receive them. There are many verses to cover so I will give just the example verses, but feel free to read the chapters they are drawn from to get the full context:

Act 1:1 The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,

Act 1:2 Until the day in which He was taken up, after that He through the Holy Ghost [Spirit] had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:

Act 1:3 To whom also He showed Himself alive after His passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:

Act 8:12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women [into that Kingdom].

Act 8:25 And they, when they had testified and preached the word of the Lord, returned to Jerusalem, and preached the gospel in many villages of the Samaritans.

Act 14:22 Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

Act 15:7 And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, you know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe [Act 10:45].

Act 19:8 And he [apostle Paul] went into the synagogue, and spoke boldly for the space of three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God.

Act 20:24 But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course [Mat 24:13] with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

Act 20:25 And now, behold, I know that you all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more.

Act 28:23 And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening.

A prime example of why the whole truth of God must come from both the Old and New Testaments. Without both, there can not be a complete understanding of the truth. It would be like only reading half of a story and then left with many unanswered questions.

There are many prophecies concerning the Kingdom of God in the Old Testament. Here is one:

Dan 2:44 And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.

Continuing with the true gospel:

Act 28:31 Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.

Rom 1:1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,

Rom 1:9 For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of His Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers;

Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek [Gentile; anyone other than a Jew].

Rom 10:15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

And that is essentially what the word gospel means in Greek: an announcement of good news. The preaching of the gospel of the Kingdom of God gives mankind a light at the end of the tunnel of the great tribulation that approaches (Deu 4:30,31).

Rom 10:16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias [Isaiah] says, Lord, who has believed our report?

They have not all obeyed all the words of Jesus Christ (Luk 6:46).

Rom 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost [Spirit].

Rom 15:16 That I should be the minister [servant] of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost [Spirit].

1Co 4:20 For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.

1Co 6:9 Know you not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,

1Co 6:10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

1Co 6:11 And such were some of you: but you are washed [baptised], but you are sanctified, but you are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

Did Jesus promise monetary reward for spreading the gospel of the Kingdom of God?

1Co 9:11 If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things?

Speaking of contributions to support the preaching of the true gospel of the kingdom of God. Yet, notice where the greater importance is focused:

1Co 9:12 If others [false prophets] be partakers of this power over you, are not we rather [preachers of the true gospel]? Nevertheless we have not used this power; but suffer all things, lest we should hinder the gospel of Christ.

1Co 9:14 Even so has the Lord ordained that they which preach the [true] gospel should live of the gospel.

As taught by the Lord Jesus:

Luk 10:7 And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the labourer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house.

Continuing:

1Co 9:16 For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!

1Co 9:18 What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel.

Isa 50:10 Who is among you that fears the LORD, that obeys the voice of His servant, that walks in darkness, and has no light? let him trust in the name of the LORD, and stay upon his God.

Stay in the truth.

Mar 1:15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent you, and believe the gospel.

Mat 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

I have preached the truth of that gospel to the whole world on the World Wide Web.

Rev 1:9 I [apostle] John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, [prisoner] for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Rev 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceives the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels [now devils (Deu 32:17; Psa 106:37; Mat 8:16; Luk 8:30; Rev 18:2)] were cast out with him.

Rev 12:10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

Rev 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb [1Co 5:7], and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Rev 12:12 Therefore rejoice, you heavens, and you that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has but a short time.

Rev 11:15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of His Christ; and He shall reign for ever and ever.

Dan 7:27 And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey Him.

Rev 5:9 And they sung a new song, saying, You are worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for you were slain, and have redeemed us to God by your blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

Rev 5:10 And have made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

Mat 5:5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
